Obituary

Raymond Powell age 82, husband of Loretta Simpson Powell, passed away Monday Jan. 6, 2020 at his home. Raymond was retired from Square D company, he was a member of the Baptist Faith, attended Faith Decision Baptist Church, was a member of the Richmond Masonic Lodge and a Kentucky Colonel, and he was a US Army veteran. Raymond was born in Ohio to the late Raymond Powell Sr. and Myrtle Lou Alexander Powell, he was also preceded in death by an infant sister Bonnie Faye Powell.
Raymond is survived by his wife Loretta Simpson Powell, and his children: John (Claudia) Powell, Raymond Powell III (Tammy), Kelly (Janet) Powell, and Sherry (Bill) Houp, his niece Paige Sininger, and sisters Shelia Powell, and Beverly Bradshaw, and Ray is survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday Jan. 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Closterman officiating, burial will be in the Pilot Knob Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-9 pm at Lakes Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7:30 pm. Online condolences at www.lakesfuneralhome.com.

Ashley I am so sorry for the loss of your Papaw. I know you will carry him with you in your heart forever and a day. He will be watching over you every day.
