Obituary

Margaret Helen Poff, age 77 of Berea, passed away, Saturday, October 24, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Margaret was born Madison County to the late James and Mary Katherine Kelley Griffieth. She was a homemaker and former dietician for Madison Manor in Richmond. She was a member of the Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband John Douglas Poff; two children, John Douglas Poff Jr., Calvin Lee Poff and one brother, James Edward Griffieth.
She is survived by her three loving children, Lisa Ann (Eddie) Tevis, Mark Adam (Elizabeth) Poff, and Mary Ellen (Charles) Kirby; her siblings, Mary Griffieth, Hazel (George) Morris, Judy (Wayne) Horn, Shirley (Jerry) Worrell, Jane Callahan, Melvin (Sue) Griffieth; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Bhuiyan, John Tevis, Kaycie Poff, Englentina Poff, Madison Poff, Kaytlynn Kirby, Kendall Kirby, and Austin Callahan; and three great grandchildren, Serenity James, Eilley Fairchild, and Phoenix Tevis.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Lakes Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Berea Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 am to 2 pm at the funeral home.
In accordance with state mandates, facial covering and six feet social distancing will be recognized. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
