Obituary for Harold Eads

Rev. Harold Eads, 86 of Berea, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, December 20, 2020. He was born on January 20, 1934, at Waseoda (East Pineville, KY) to the late Harvey and Gracie Gross Eads. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Sue Eads, five brothers, David, George, Lee, Marsillus, and Duell Eads, three sisters, Lou Ann Eads Hubbs Floyd, Lorene Eads Blankenship, and Marie Eads Jordan, and one half-sister, Mary Eads Saylor.
He was a loving and devoted husband to Beverly Sue Eads for 68 years. They were united in marriage on April 18, 1952. Harold founded the Eads Fence Company in Madison County over 50 years ago. Also, he was the Pastor of the Holy Sanctuary Church in Berea for 50 years, where he continued until his death.
Harold was an avid sportsman, having been a hunter of a variety of game and also a great fisherman. He loved a good coon hunt, great dogs, and telling the stories about his many hunting trips. After he was unable to hunt as much, he increased his fishing time at the surrounding area lakes. He was always ready to share with others his fishing tips and stories of the ones that didn’t get away. If you visited him at home in the last several years, he always wanted to cook for you while he told you some of his hunting, fishing or some childhood memories, and also of his fond memories of the great Holiness men and women that he had known or had pastored over the years.
Pastor Harold Eads is survived by; one son, Gordon Ray Eads and his wife Charlotte Clontz Eads of Richmond, KY; one daughter, Harolyn Hope and her husband Paul Edward Osborne of Berea; four grandchildren, Gordon Britt Eads, Rev.
