Obituary

Elizabeth Turner Hembree, 92, passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 at Berea Health and Rehabilitation in Berea.
Elizabeth was born in Laurel County, Kentucky to the late Dan and Fronie Bell Harris Turner. She worked for George Bryant at The Colonel for many years. She was a member of the holiness faith and attended several churches.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Bud” Hembree; and four siblings, Barsha Jones, Rosie Allen, Amos Turner, and Richard Turner.
She is survived by her children Marty (Kathy) Hembree, Maxcine (Delmer) Kendrick, and Kenneth (Gearl-Mae) Hembree; five grandchildren, Marty Lee (Karen) Hembree, Angie (Joe) Hatton, Melissa (Keith) Isaacs, Michelle (James) Rose, Rebecca (Curtis) Conroy; thirteen great grandchildren, Natasha Lee (Trevor) Perrish, Cassie (Josh) Alexander, Derek Hembree, Jacob Hembree, Molly (Shane) Pingleton, Jessica (Cory) Hunt, Kyle Newman, Mary-Grace Walling, Dylan Isaacs, Dalton Isaacs, Hannah Rose, Hailey Conroy, Isabella Conroy; six great-great grandchildren, Tristain Alexander, Sammy Alexander, Brantlee Pingleton, Harper Pingleton, Conner Hunt, and Parker Hunt.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, all services will be private. Her burial will take place in Berea Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at lakesfuneralhome.com. To send flowers to the family please contact the funeral home for delivery instructions.

We called her Lizzy, she was married to our cousin Bud. When I think of Lizzy I remember she was so humble, sweet and kind. To me Lizzy was embodied with the Fruit of The Spirit love, joy, peace, long suffering,gentleness, goodness,faith, meekness and temperance.. Gal 5:22-23. Carl and Doris Roberts (Snake and Pi)
