Obituary

Carl Rose age 63 of Berea, passed away Wednesday Sept. 23, 2020 at the Thomson-Hood Veterans Home in Wilmore Kentucky. Carl was born in Jackson County to the late Hesmer and Ethel Lainhart Rose, he worked at Okonite Company and was a member of the 1016 Holiness Church. Carl was also a proud Veteran of the US Air Force. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn Jones, Cleve Rose, infant brother Dalford Rose, niece Debbie Sparks Rooker, and grandparents: Millie Bowles, Floa Fowler Rose, and Rev. Albert and Mary Rose.
Carl is survived by his sons: Dustin (Tatiana) Rose, and Austin Rose, and his siblings: A.D. (Margaret) Rose, Voyd Rose, Gary (Marvena) Rose, Clifton (Pam) Rose, Gerald (Rita) Rose, Linda (Steve) Carpenter, and Bob (Mary) Rose, and his grandson Max Rose.
Funeral services will be Monday Sept. 28, 2020 at Lakes Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Rev. Leonard Wilder, Rev. JB Alexander, and Rev. Jerry Rose officiating, burial will be at Berea Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be his sons and brothers, honorary pallbearers will be Billy Welch, Larry Hedges, Billy Linville, Charlie Phillips, Ron Hackler, Scott Goode, Bobby Cox, and Pete Lumsden. Visitation will be Sunday Sept. 27, 2020 from 6-9 pm at Lakes Funeral Home. The family will observe the state mandate for social distancing and facial coverings for all services.
